A RED-faced police driver had to phone his bosses after the van he was driving ended up in a ditch.
The crime scene investigation vehicle left the road and got stuck in a roadside ditch on the A361 near the RSPB Greylake Nature Reserve.
No-one was injured and no other vehicles were involved in the incident, which was reported at around 10.30am this morning (Friday).
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: "We are arranging recovery of the vehicle."
