CHILTON Trinity and Haygrove School students once again created hampers for Victoria Park Community Centre for Christmas.
Students and staff from both schools went above and beyond to make some brilliant hampers which were filled with generous donations such as blankets, foods, toys, books, clothes, DVDs and much more.
With the help of Year 9 Haygrove students, the hampers were loaded onto a kindly donated Falcon Vehicle Solutions van and taken to Victoria Park Community Centre in Bridgwater, where the students then helped volunteers sort through the donations.
The organisations that will benefit from these generous donations are Bridgwater Foodbank, Bridgwater Salvation Army, Homes in Sedgemoor and Headway Somerset.
Gareth Hughes, Victoria Park Community Centre manager, said: "It was a great pleasure to host this event again this year.
"I’d like to thank the children and their families for their generosity, there was an amazing amount of donations.
"We had some new volunteers this year and they, like myself and my staff, were amazed at the kindness of all the donations.
"I know all the hard work and generosity will bring some much needed joy to lots of local people and families."
