TRAVEL back to the forties with A.J’s Big Band next month.
Enjoy timeless classics from the Glenn Miller era and the war years at The Princess Theatre in Burnham-on-Sea.
A.J’s Big Band is now into its thirty-third year and they are still playing the memorable music from the golden age of the big bands.
You can hear music and songs that helped to prop up morale during the war torn years of the thirties and forties.
Who can forget Glenn Miller’s Moonlight Serenade, In the Mood, Little Brown Jug and American Patrol?
You can feel nostalgic remembering the popular songs of that era, made famous through The Andrew Sisters such as Chattanooga Choo Choo and Bugle Boy as well as Vera Lynn’s White Cliffs of Dover and, of course, We’ll Meet Again.
There will be great arrangements from top West Country musicians led by saxophonist Ken Parr and superb vocals from songstress, Paul Mitchell.
See A.J’s Big Band at the Princess Theatre on Friday, November 8 at 7:30pm.
Tickets cost £15.
