THE best way to learn film-making is to make content, but where and how do you start?
Well this November Somerset Film, based at the Engine Room in Bridgwater, are running a course to help you make your own documentary film in just one day.
You will be introduced to the basic elements of developing an idea and finding a good story or subject matter to document and you can get hands-on with cameras and microphones.
Somerset Film will give you a quick look at some of the editing software available.
They will also help signpost the next steps and the resources available to help further your film-making.

The event takes place on November 16 between 10am and 4pm at The Engine Room in Bridgwater.
The course costs £65. Advanced booking is essential.
