AN exhibition of artworks celebrating the landscapes and wildlife of the Somerset Levels is opening at Somerset Rural Life Museum next month.

The exhibition, Reedbeds and Waterway, brings together artworks by the printmaker Jackie Curtis.

Jackie works from her Somerset studio but can often be found walking on the Levels, sketch book and camera in hand, looking for ideas to use in her printmaking.

Reedbeds and Waterway will showcase the different printmaking techniques used by the artist.

To celebrate the exhibition opening Jackie will be in the gallery on November 16 to answer questions about her practice.

On December 7, Jackie will be running family-friendly drop-in printmaking sessions.

On January 18 2020, there will also be a monoprinting workshop for adults.

All artworks in the exhibition will be available for sale in the museum shop. The exhibition at Somerset Rural Life Museum follows its successful run at the Museum of Somerset over the summer.

Reedbeds and Waterway will be at the Somerset Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury from November 16 2019 to January 18 2020.
