NINE selected professional artists, including Joanna Commings from Wells, will be exhibiting their work in Somerset during the run up to Christmas.

They are participating in the Creative Coverage Winter Exhibition at The Bishop’s Palace, Wells from November 9 to December 20.

Creative Coverage co-founder, Caroline Saundersm said: “We are thrilled to be invited to this magnificent and historically important part of the county. We thank Freddie Langdon-Daly and his team for their help and enthusiasm. The exhibition space has large windows ensuring that there is a good amount of natural light – vital for a good exhibition.”

The exhibitors will include a selection of artists. The first being Mary Burtenshaw who uses pastel and acrylic to creative evocative landscapes.

Rachel Fenner is an artist born in Scarborough, Yorkshire whose paintings follow the Modernist tradition of English Romantic Abstraction and are largely inspired by coastal landscapes.

Gerry Defries also finds inspiration by the coast, from the sea in fact. Joanna Commings loves to discover the new landscape around the north and south Devon coasts too.

Burnham and Highbridge Weekly News:

There will be bright, vibrant and fun artwork from Miranda Pender.

There will also be work from Andrew Newton (a hyper-realist portrait/abstract painter), Alison Bowyer (a fused glass and wire sculptor) and Liz Wright (paintings which are both fantasy and acutely observed reality).
