POLICE are appealing for help to find a man who came to the aid of a woman on a bridge near Weston-super-Mare train station.
Officers were called to reports of a concern for welfare of a woman sitting on a bridge near to the railway station at about 6.20am on Friday (October 4).
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said the woman was threatening to jump and a man went to speak to her and helped her move back onto the other side of the bridge railings.
The spokesperson said: "The woman has been taken to hospital.
"We are keen to contact the member of the public who helped the woman. He left the scene without giving his details.
"We would like the man to contact us, quoting reference 5219229368."
