A BRIDGWATER man who committed a spree of thefts including stealing charity tins from KFC has been jailed.
Ricky Ian Horsfield, aged 37, of Warren Close, Bridgwater, was sentenced at Taunton Magistrates Court on Monday, October 1.
The court heard that he committed a series of thefts over a five month period from May to September this year.
Horsfield was sentenced for a total of 15 counts of theft of items, worth a total value of nearly £2,500.
His crimes included stealing a Draper socket from Mole Valley Farmers worth £157, £75 worth of alcohol from Sainsburys, more than £200 worth of equipment from Proper Job, socket sets and a welder from Hickley Valtone on East Quay, stealing more than a £1,000 of items from Boots including fragrances, teeth whitening kit and baby clothes, as well as two charity tins from KFC in Bridgwater.
He was sentenced to a total of 12 months in prison for the offences.
