HOST’s recent Family Fun Day provided a great day out for both Hinkley project workers and the local community of Bridgwater.
Adult visitors enjoyed browsing and buying from a range of local artisan suppliers, from handmade signs to beeswax wraps, while the children enjoyed the large selection of activities for them to take part in - giant snakes and ladders, cookie decorating, bungee trampolining, cricket coaching and kick boxing, to name a few.
Paul Warburton, Sedgemoor Campus general manager said: "“The day was a great success. The weather for fantastic and with the help of Sedgemoor FM, there was a really relaxed vibe.
"It was fantastic seeing local families sitting out in the sun enjoying themselves.”
The event raised £479.47 for Children’s Hospice South West, a charity that provides respite, end of life and bereavement care for life-limited and terminally ill children and their families from the South West.
