A NEW Youth event - Living Out Loud - will be launched in the heart of Taunton this month.

The evening is a gathering for young people, aged 14-17 years, across the Taunton area for a night of live music, activities, snacks, prizes and a speaker.

The aim is to host four of these big youth nights a year with visiting speakers and bands, with qualified Youth Workers and team present. These events are being organised by Taunton Youth for Christ, a local charity supporting Youth in schools and community across the town.

Kate Solanki, Chair of the charity, said: “The young people in our town are up against so many challenges, this event offers a safe space for our young people to enjoy music, be inspired to become change makers and have some fun.

“We have a visiting speaker and space to explore who Jesus is to a generation of young people. Taunton Youth for Christ has a vision to see lives changed for good. We want the lonely and hurting youth of Taunton to know we see them, to know they are valued, and to know that we care.”

Living out Loud will run on Saturday, October 12 at 7:30pm, at the Old School Building in Gipsy Lane, TA1 5LQ. Entry is free.
