CHILDREN will be able to enjoy donkey rides on Burnham-on-Sea beach again.
The friendly animals are being brought back after an absence of four years.
Gerald, Bawble and Brandy will be officially welcomed to the beach on Monday (August 19) by Sedgemoor District Council chairman Cllr Peter Clayton.
Youngsters will be able to have a ride the same day - tides and weather permitting - and until the end of the season.
A council spokesman said: "After seeing the plight of beach-goers after an SDC statement that they could not find anyone to fill the beach concession, Craig Harris contacted Sedgemoor to see if he could help with his herd of donkeys.
"They are well-used to pleasing children at local fetes and festivals and we’re told they are looking forward to a breath of sea air."
