STAFF at a Burnham-on-Sea care home were recognised at a special event which marked 620 years of service in care.

The ceremony was held at The Canalside, Huntworth and celebrated the work of long-serving staff from across a variety of Somerset Care’s services in Sedgemoor including staff at Frith House.

Three staff from the Burnham-on-Sea care home were recognised including manager, Vicki Mitchell, deputy, Matet Estioco and care assistant, Mellissa Bailey all achieving 15 years of service.

Presentations were made to the long-serving staff from Frith House by chairman of Somerset Care, Angela Dupont and Linda Tungate, operations manager for Frith House.

Angela Dupont spoke at the event, thanking everyone for their continuous commitment to delivering high standards of care and support and making a difference to the lives of those they support.

The ceremony was decorated with a black and gold theme and attendees were invited to enjoy a delicious buffet throughout the celebrations, followed by a personalised cake.
