HUNDREDS of people came out to celebrate a new food festival in Crewkerne.
On Saturday, July 20, the eat:Festivals team brought a new event to the town.
More than 60 food and drink producers from the area attended the event.
The weekend was organised to coincide with the market charter celebrations, as well as the 20th birthday of the farmers’ market.
Sarah Milner Simonds said: “We wanted to re-ignite the celebration that has brought people together for centuries - using three areas in the town to showcase the great producers from approximately 25 mile radius of the Crewkerne.”
Bev Milner Simonds said: “On this memorable weekend - it was one small step for Crewkerne and one giant leap for local food and drink.
“The feedback so far has been positive, with some learning opportunities but we were very pleased with this first festival.”
