On July 9 and July 11, students from Manor Court School performed to packed audiences at the Guildhall in Chard.

The school’s two choirs led by Mrs Johns and Mrs Devereux, performed two sets each.

Luke Talmage, headteacher, said: “The evening was a fabulous spectacle in which the children were able to show their amazing individual and collective talents

“Proceeds from ticket sales, will supplement the cost of arts experiences for children in our school, enabling us to hold another art exhibition next year in the Guildhall.”

The Original Factory Shop ran a raffle raising £250 which has been split between their charity, The Make a Wish Foundation, and Manor Court’s charity, When You Wish upon a Star.

Alan Clode, deputy headteacher said: “The performances were truly amazing and show once more the enriched curriculum and opportunities that all children receive at Manor Court Primary School.

“We are grateful for the team of willing parent and staff volunteers who worked before and on backstage with hair, makeup and chaperoning of children.”
