THE wet weather and a sea of mud couldn’t spoil the party for revellers at the Somerock music festival in 2009.
The event, at Bridgwater Sports & Social Club, was packed full of music from across the county and beyond.
It was headlined by Stoned Again - a Rolling Stones tribute act.
Also on the bill were The Fillers - who covered the hits of The Killers (who headlined Glastonbury for the second time a decade later) - and singer songwriter Craig Semmens.
And festival goers had to overcome a bit of a battle with the mud to enjoy the music - which they did valiantly.
Thousands turn out for the show each year and the Mercury reviewer said then: "Somerock 2009 proved to be an even bigger success than last year and people will be wondering how they can top such an amazing night."
