THESE are the dramatic photos of a blaze at a landfill site at the weekend.
Dozens of firefighters tackled the fire at the landfill site at the weekend.
A total of eight fire engines and specialist vehicles were involved in the incident.
Among crews at the site were on call firefighters and Green Watch from Taunton.
A spokesman for Somerset Waste Partnership said the fire was "swiftly put out" and the landfill site is open.
He offered the following advise to people using landfill sites.
• Embers from fires or barbeques if not drenched or fully cooled.
• Household or vehicle batteries that may short out or cause sparks.
• Broken glass not carefully wrapped that could act as a magnifying lens.
• Aerosols that can get hot or be pierced during the landfill process.
