AN evening of musical celebration is taking place at the McMillan Theatre on May 31.

Stuart Brayson, composer of West End smash hit musical From Here to Eternity presents an evening of musical celebration featuring exclusive U.K and world premieres of new songs and productions.

This will include his brand new West End transfer Pink Angora Sweater with some very special guests. He will be joined by West End Stars Stefan Pejic and Zoe George.

Stuart Brayson is a British composer of new musicals.

He is a self taught multi instrumentalist and studied dramatic art as an actor in Newcastle and London.

Stuart has written over 27 musicals, ranging from the epic Mata! about the life of Mata Hari to Pink Angora Sweater, a new musical comedy about the life of cross dressing film maker Ed Wood.

He has been actively creating diverse and melodic new work since the early 1990s, since his departure from rock band, POP.

Born in Gateshead in the North East, he sprung to fame when From Here To Eternity (with lyrics by Sir Tim Rice) opened to five star reviews in London’s West End.

But behind the glitter lies the true story of how he struggled to be heard after many years performing, writing and composing songs and shows.

Stuart talks candidly and with great humour about his ups and downs.

He talks about his close friendship with Sir Tim Rice, his time as lead singer and songwriter in new romantic rock band POP, his recent adventures in America and what a bright future he has in store.

You can see An Evening with Stuart Brayson and special guests at The McMillan Theatre in Bridgwater at 7:30pm.

Tickets for the show cost £15. To buy tickets or to find out more please visit mcmillantheatre.com or call 01278 556677.
