THE Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for Cornwall over the next three days.
There was a bright and breezy start this morning, but the Met Office says the weather will turn cloudier and showery from the southwest this afternoon.
Heavy rain and blustery winds will gradually spread eastwards to all parts during the course of the afternoon, with gales in exposed areas.
The wet and windy weather will clear away eastwards this evening. It will be clearer for a time after that, but with occasional rain or hail showers near to coastal areas. It will be wet again towards dawn.
On Friday it will be dull and wet during the morning, with increasingly heavy rain spreading northwards. It will become very windy with gales during the afternoon and evening, with further outbreaks of heavy rain.
The bad weather will continue into Saturday with up to 25mm of very heavy rain during the day. People are advised to take extra care during this period of bad weather, which is expected to cause some disruption.
