The waiting was over. A –Level students at Falmouth School finally found out their fate this morning when they went to the school library to get their results.

A steady stream of students both AS and A-Level went in this morning greeted by their teachers and their certificates.

Few were disappointed with their grades as this year the school boasted a 99 per cent pass rate, with 66 per cent of those passes grades A to C.

Head teacher Sandra Critchley said: “These results are tremendous and reflect the hard work of the students along with the expertise of our teachers who are skilled in achieving results at this level.

“For the students to achieve these results is a credit to the young people of the school and I congratulate each and every one on their successes.”

While some students were delighted to have achieved a university place or secured a new job. Others were anxious on the phone to be sure they got into the course they wanted.
