TWO more people have died in Cornwall from Covid-19, it has been confirmed.

The patients died on Tuesday and Wednesday, the figures for the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust show.

The latest statistics published by NHS England this afternoon show that the total in the county now stands at 21, up two from 19 yesterday.

The number of cases in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly now stands at 125, an increase of 11 from 114 yesterday.

Nationwide another 604 people who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 3,302.

Patients were aged between 24 and 100 years old and 34 of the 604 patients – aged between 27 and 92 years old – had no known underlying health condition.

Their families have been informed.

The figures published each afternoon include cases up to 5pm the previous day.
