FALMOUTH Town Council has issued a statement about the St Nazaire Services of Remembrance that were due to be held on Sunday, March 29.

It says: "In view of the anticipated level of the coronavirus contagion and the council’s duty of care, it is with great regret that it has been decided by the Mayor of Falmouth Steve Eva and Eric Dawkins, of the St Nazaire Society, to cancel the St Nazaire Services of Remembrance on Sunday, March 29.

"We plan to reschedule these Services of Remembrance later in the year and will advise you of a new date in due course.

"We hope you will understand that this decision has not been taken lightly and is to help ensure the wellbeing of all those involved in organising and attending these involved in organizing and attending these services services."
