A second accident has occurred near Chiverton roundabout today.
Following the earlier incident in which a car overturned on the A3075, a two-vehicle collision has now taken place on the A390.
There is very heavy queueing traffic caused by the crash, which has taken place between Chiverton Cross and Penstraze Business Centre.
A police spokesman said: "Police were called at 1.45pm to the A390, Chiverton Cross, Truro, with reports of a two vehicle collision. Road is blocked. Both vehicles require recovery. Minor injuries. Incident ongoing."
There continues to be congestion to Langarth Park And Ride roundabout and also roads through Chacewater are congested as a result.
All lanes have been re-opened.
The vehicles were recovered at around 3.15pm, however residual delays remain in the area, particularly affecting traffic leaving Truro, heading towards Chiverton Cross.
