Firefighters have been tackling an incident at storage unit this morning after smoke was seen.

Two crews from Tolvaddon were called to Paynters Lane in Illogan just after 7.35am today, about a fire at a commercial building.

A fire service spokesperson said: "At 7.37am the Critical Control Centre received an emergency call, regarding smoke coming from a garage.

"Two appliances from Tolvaddon were mobilised to the incident. "On arrival, crew discovered a fire inside a garage, which is used for storage."

Firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out the fire before bringing in a high pressure fan to clear smoke from the building.

The fire was subsequently confirmed as accidental and confined to an electrical unit.
