A new range of vegan haircare products has been launched by a Falmouth hairdresser.

Ross Jackson-Hicks owns and runs Rudi’s Hairdressing and noticed a gap for natural haircare products that were suitable for all hair types and also vegan.

Ross said: “I’m so excited to finally launch Well Lane Haircare as it’s been in the planning for many years now. I have used many professional brands of hair care products over the years but none offered the combination of natural ingredients and great results that I was looking for.

"So I’ve made my own. I know from my clients that vegan products are important too, so I was able to ensure my formulations were cruelty free and met Vegan Society standards.”

He began formulating the hydrating shampoo and conditioner a few years ago and after working with a cosmetic chemist and packaging designer, launched the products at Padstow Christmas Market at the end of 2019.

Ross’s main motivation for creating his own hair care products was environmental responsibility and sustainability.

Having first-hand experience of seeing hair care products packed with chemicals going down the sink, he knew a change was required to protect the environment.

Well Lane Haircare products are made in small batches, with natural ingredients including shea butter and seaweed extract and are completely free of parabens, sulfates and artificial colours.

All products are Vegan Society approved and cruelty free.

Well Lane Haircare can also supply the products on a wholesale basis to other local salons and Ross is planning to offer a refill service to them for their at sink needs, reducing the amount of plastic being consumed and thrown away.

Well Lane Haircare products are available to buy from Ross’s own salon Rudi’s Hairdressing in Well Lane, Falmouth as well as online at www.welllanehaircare.co.uk

Other stockists will be announced soon.
