The Great Estate festival at Scorrier has announced Razorlight as its Saturday night headline act.

With many massive tracks under their belt, such as In The Morning and America, Razorlight are sure to be a hit with the 7,000 strong crowd and are a much-anticipated addition to the festival line-up.

Razorlight will join an event programme that includes live performances from American legends The Sugarhill Gang and Welsh rappers Goldie Lookin Chain.

Dick Valentine, frontman of Electric Six, is also set to perform not once, but twice, during the event.

Festival directors Ben Hall and Ian Whittaker said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce Razorlight for the fourth year of The Great Estate.

"They are adding to an already amazing line-up of music and happenings throughout the weekend.

"We look forward to seeing them, and you, there.”

Following the announcement of Razorlight also comes the release of day tickets, which start at £30 and are available now via the festival's website.

Other confirmed acts for the May extravaganza include Chainska Brassika, Malavita, Indian Man, The Correspondents, Lady Violet Hugh, and the colourfully fun Super Cumbia y la Liga de la Alegría.

There of course couldn’t be a Great Estate without the much-coveted Woodland Silent Disco and Madame Wong’s House of Wrong.

For families there’s a full programme of kids entertainment from Swamp Circus, Mount Hawke, Titan the Robot and the electrifying Lords of Lightning.

There is also the regular vintage fairground, bouncy castles and roaming entertainers throughout the weekend.

If you need a little time to enjoy the festival without the kiddies, Under the Canopy Cornwall return with their supervised ‘Bear Grylls’ style survival skills academy.

New to the DJ collection are locals Natz & Danae B, DJ Lou.V and Love DeluxX with their impressive stage set and music that will have you dancing the night away.

Talks at Teatime and Delicious Demos are also new to the bill for 2020 and promise a line-up of impressive names sharing their passion for food, drink, enlightenment and rock & roll, all within The Grand Hall of Scorrier House.

The much-loved Secret Gin Garden will also return, bringing back Classical Corner, with relaxed vibes and jazz playing over the sound of a large gin and tonic being poured at Tarquin’s gin bar.

If you are a seasoned Great Estate goer you know that this festival isn’t just music and bars.

It is a world of whimsy and surprise. A world where you can walk around a corner and meet a bunch of bearded ladies, who will try to ply you with Dr Von Hyde’s medicinal tonic, then bump into a pat of flamingos merrily wandering the plush green surrounds of Scorrier Estate.

Watch out for the Safari crew - their teapot doesn't contain what you might think…

Cornish Orchards has also been announced as the main headline sponsor for The Great Estate 2020, and if you venture into the woods you may be in for a cider-filled surprise.

Organised are promising plenty more to come for 2020.

Tickets are available at www.greatestatefestival.co.uk, with price tiers due to rise soon, organisers say.
