Ten days of traffic lights on one of the main junctions in Helston have begun - and they have already made their presence known.
There were long delays in Redruth Road, Falmouth Road, Clodgey Lane and Godolphin Road this evening after the four-way temporary lights were installed shortly before 4.30pm.
They centre around the Turnpike roundabout, with lights on all approaches.
It signals the start of work by Wales and West Utilities, which is laying 37 metres of gas pipework.
Similar work is also taking place, managed by traffic lights, in Cades Parc.
The traffic lights are expected to be in place until Friday next week, February 7.
