The Alverton will be opening the doors to The Great Hall for its second Cornish Gin and Drinks Festival in March.

After a successful festival last year, the hotel will be welcoming a whole host of local gin, rum, beer and artisan spirit suppliers to set up stalls throughout the hotel’s historic Great Hall on March 21.

The four-star hotel, situated on the outskirts of Truro, will be joined by big names in the Cornish gin distillery industry, including Tarquin’s, Holly’s Gin, Wrecking Coast and Lantic Gin.

Event sponsors Agnes Arber gin and Franklin & Sons tonic will also be joining the party.

As well as plenty of gins to sample, the festival will also feature other local tipples, such as Morvenna Rum, Cornish Moonshine and Sharp’s Brewery.

The suppliers will be giving out tasters, sharing their expert knowledge and selling their brilliant products from midday until 7pm. Masterclasses and behind-the-scenes tips, demonstrations and talks will be available throughout the day too.

Ticket holders can expect a brilliant day full of entertainment, with live music from local talents Rue, Mog Jones, and Ash Harding.

Falmouth Soul Sensation will keep the party lively until late, where the drinks will be flowing and everyone can let loose on the dancefloor.

Tickets are now on sale via Eventbrite for £15 per person, and include a G&T on arrival, free samples from all the distilleries, access to masterclasses, a printed gin guide and a keepsake branded gin glass to take home: https://alverton-gin-festival.eventbrite.co.uk
