Helston has proved that Christmas is a time for giving as well as receiving by donating more than £7,000 via one of the town's supermarkets.
During December Tesco Helston invited local groups and charities to collect in the entrance to the store.
They included school choirs to male voice choirs, local bands and Helston Christmas Lights Committee.
Shoppers dug deep with their donations and in total £7,071 was collected over the Christmas period.
Tesco Helston community champion Nikki Walker said: "We have a great community spirit in and around Helston.
"Thank you to our customers for supporting these local groups."
