Emergency services searched for a missing man in Mawnan Smith in the early hours of this morning.
After a three-and-a-half hour search police found the man, who is in his 60s, safe and well at around 4am.
Falmouth Coastguard Rescue Team, Falmouth Lifeboat, West Cornwall Search and Rescue Team, Porthoustock Coastguard Rescue team and several police units including a dog and police helicopter from National Police Air Service HQ took part.
The coast was searched from Maenporth up the Helford River, and the missing man was eventually found by police further inland.
Police were called at 11.30pm and the coastguard team was called out an hour later.
