New Love Island contestant Ollie Williams has links to Falmouth, it has emerged.

Ollie used to play for Falmouth RFC in his late teens before going on to captain Wimbledon Rugby Football Club.

He played flanker for the Eagles' under-20s team in eleven matches from 2014 onwards.

A Packet report on a 2015 match against Old Plymothian and Mannameadian RFC said: "Flanker Ollie Williams showed he has the pace to beat defenders as he passed four of them en-route to the try-line with his determined run, with Justyn Irons converting."

It was recently announced that the 23-year-old heir to the Landydrock Estate was selected for dating reality show which last year made a star of Newquay native Lucie Donlan.

Falmouth RFC posted on Facebook today saying: "We wish him all the best, and hope he finds that special someone!"

In promotional material for the programme, Ollie called himself an "alpha male," adding: "Wherever I go, I boss the room, I boss whatever I'm doing."

This Sunday ex-Eagle Ollie Williams takes to our screens for Winter Love Island.

Ollie played 11 matches for the Eagles, particularly when he was in his late teens, before going on to captain Wimbledon Rugby Football Club.

We wish him all the best, and hope he finds that special someone!

Ollie Williams is heir to the Lanhydrock estate in Cornwall.

The 23-year-old says he is "an alpha male", rates himself as a 10 out of 10 for looks and admits he loves being "the centre of what is going on".

"Wherever I go, I boss the room, I boss whatever I'm doing," he said.
