Vandals smashed several car windows in the Old Hill area of Falmouth on Saturday.

There were reports of seven cars on Pellew Road, Penarth Road and Old Hill being vandalised, and a house window was reportedly smashed. 

Kerry Prynn was one of the residents whose car was targeted.

She said: "It's sad times we're living in... People can smash a car window and get away with it."

Kerry added that one of her neighbours found yesterday (Monday January 6) morning that one of their house's windows had been smashed. Another, she said, had their car damaged twice in seven weeks.

The spate of incidents took place on Saturday evening (January 4) between around 4pm and 9pm.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson told the Packet: "Criminal damage was sustained to a car window on Old Hill Crescent, Falmouth, late on Saturday 4 January."

They added that there was "damage to a car parked in Pellew Road, Falmouth.

"The driver's side window was smashed on an Audi A4.

"The incident happened between 4pm and 10pm on Saturday 4 January.

"Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or by phone on 101."
