It will be Christmas in custody for a Helston man charged with assault and criminal damage.
A large number of police cars were spotted at a property on the Helston to Wendron road on Saturday morning.
On Monday 28-year-old Tom Cheseldine appeared before magistrates in Truro, charged with two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm (ABH) and two counts of criminal damage.
Cheseldine, of no fixed abode in Helston, entered no plea to any charge and was remanded in custody by magistrates until his next court hearing, this time at Truro Crown Court, in early January.
