A PORTHLEVEN man has been made the subject of a community order after pleading guilty to drink driving.

Jason Lee Faint, aged 42, of Treza Farm, appeared before Truro magistrates on Monday.

He admitted driving a Renault Clio in Cross Street, Helston, on November 21.

He had 90mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath, which is more than two and a half times over the legal limit of 35mcgs.

Magistrates imposed a community order requiring him to be electronically monitored for two months, in which he must reside as his home address between 8pm and 6am daily.

He was disqualified from driving for 23 months, which will be reduced by 23 weeks if he satisfactorily completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

Faint was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £90 victim surcharge.

A woman drove without insurance, Bodmin magistrates heard.

Kerrie Elizabeth Bonsor, aged 34, of Ferndale Road, committed the offence in a Renault, in Truro on July 11.

She was fined £660 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with six points.

Driving without insurance has resulted in a fine for a 44 year-old Falmouth man.

Darren John Bradbury, of The Beacon, admitted committing the offence at Kingsley Village, Fraddon, on July 9 in a Peugeot.

He was fined £130 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

Breaking a 60mph speed limit has cost a 31 year-old man.

Ruan Andrew Brown, of Lower Lanner Farm, Kea, near Truro, admitted committing the offence in a Ford Transit on June 6 at Riche.

He was fined £199 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

Exceeding a 60mph has resulted in a £538 fine for a 54 year-old man.

John William Lowry, of Florence Place, Falmouth, admitted committing the offence on June 8 in a Volkswagen Caddy.

He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £53 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with five points.

A Penryn man has been fined £70 for speeding.

Kane Levi Manson, aged 25, of Jack Close, admitted committing the offence on Mary 23 in a VW Golf.

He was ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and his licence was endorsed with three points.

A Falmouth man broke a 30mph speed limit.

Nicholas Philip Andreou, aged 38, of Berryman Crescent, admitted committing the offence on April 28 in Newquay.

He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.

A 24 year-old Praze woman has admitted drink driving.

Jessica Nicole Sharman Smith, of Fore Street, committed the offence in a Seat Ibiza in East Hill, Camborne, on August 5.

She had 136mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of urine, which exceeded the prescribed limit. She was banned for 12 months and fined £120. She was also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge.

A drink driver from Porthleven has been banned from the roads for 12 months.

Thomas Stephen Paris, aged 27, of Park An Daras, admitted committing the offence in a Ford Fiesta on November 17 in Threemilestone.

He had 52mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was fined £415 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £41 victim surcharge.

A 59 year-old man whose vehicle did not have insurance has been fined.

Patrick Vaughan Trembath, of Pengersick Estate, Praa Sands, committed the offence on January 2 in Penzance. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £90 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
