Falmouth’s mayor visited a primary school to announce the winners of a Christmas card competition.

Councillor Steve Eva and mayoress Mrs Vicky Eva, accompanied by town clerk Mark Williams, attended Falmouth Primary Academy to declare the winners of the Mayor’s Christmas Card competition.

Councillor Eva said: “This year’s standard was so high that we had to choose two designs, one by Amber and one by Lily-May.

“Myself and the mayoress were amazed at the discipline showed by all the pupils in assembly and we would like to thank headmistress Claire Smith for allowing us to attend the school on Monday’.

Both children were presented with a copy of their Christmas card and a certificate. The town mayor also presented a plaque to the school.

This year’s competition was open to the whole of Falmouth Primary Academy School and the judging Panel included the mayor, town clerk and art gallery director.
