A STORMY 24 hours has been forecast by the Met Office for later this weekend.
Gusts of more than 60mph as severe gales are expected to batter the county from Sunday afternoon through until Monday morning.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind between 3pm on Sunday and 9am on Monday.
It looks likely to peak just after dark on Sunday evening, before eventually starting to ease later on Monday morning.
The high winds will be accompanied by intermittent rain on Sunday night, before it passes through to leave sunnier conditions on Monday.
That will offer only temporary respite, however, as another lively weather front arrives on Tuesday, bringing with it heavy rain and more strong winds up to 50mph.
In what looks like being a very unsettled week, there is another pause in play on Wednesday, before another band of heavy rain and strong winds are due to hit the county on Thursday.
