A Falmouth man has denied perverting the cause of justice by allegedly selling his car to a fictitious person after it triggered a speed camera.
Turkish national Yeter Acar, 54, of Church Street, denied two charges at Truro Crown Court today.
One alleges that he withheld material information by failing to disclose previous driving convictions in order to obtain insurance for a BMW.
Acar is also charged with attempting to pervert the cause of justice between January 20 and June 6 of this year, by selling a BMW that triggered a speed camera on January 21, to a fictitious person.
He entered not guilty pleas to both charges.
Acar was represented today by barrister Lee Bembridge. Philip Lee from the CPS prosecuted.
The defendant was bailed and a pre-trial review date has been set for January 7 at 2.15pm.
