Congratulations from their local MP were in order this week for a couple from Camborne, who help run a popular retirement park near the town.

Victoria Bott and Dion Whitcombe were both presented with exceptional service awards by George Eustice MP during a special visit he paid to Rosewarne Park, just north of Camborne.

The award is the highest honour given by British Holiday & Home Parks Association to park staff who have made "significant and substantial" contributions to their businesses.

Victoria is the manager of Rosewarne Park, responsible for its day-to-day running, and Dion is in charge of the maintenance of the grounds.

Victoria has been in her management position for eight years, and Dion joined the company nine years ago.

The business is part of the family-run Berkeleyparks group of residential parks, which has its headquarters in Yeovil, Somerset.

At the presentation ceremony, Victoria and Dion were congratulated by George Eustice MP on their achievements.

The pair were nominated for their awards by David Curson who is managing director of Berkeleyparks.

"We rely heavily on our managers and maintenance staff to help our residents enjoy their lifestyles, and to sustain the mutually supportive atmosphere which our parks provide," said David.

"Victoria and Dion are always prepared to go the extra mile to give whatever assistance is needed, and to make sure that the park offers a first-class living environment.

"We're very grateful that George Eustice was able to take time out to congratulate the couple and give his good wishes to two highly valued members of our team," he added.

Rosewarne Park has more than 80 privately-owned park homes in its landscaped grounds, where people in or near retirement can enjoy peaceful and well-managed surroundings.
