A COUNTRY home that is not normally open to the public will welcome visitors for its annual Christmas event.

The impressive country house of Trevince stands in splendid grounds, woods and parkland nestled in the village of Gwennap, between Truro, Falmouth and Redruth.

The current owners, Richard and Trish Stone are the 26th generation to run the estate.

The couple will open the doors of what is normally a private home for their fourth Country House Christmas at Trevince at the end of November and into December.

It is a unique opportunity for customers to wander through the downstairs formal rooms, filled with luxury gifts and hand-picked artisans selling fantastic hand-made products.

Local musicians and choirs will perform from the upstairs gallery each day.

In the Victorian Stable Yard visitors will find further artisans selling a variety of foods, drinks, art and crafts, antique furniture, vintage tools, stunning willow sculptures and wreaths.

The Cart Shed Café on site will serve barista coffees, teas, home-made cakes and light lunches, with further artisans outside at the front of the house selling additional barista drinks, treats and festive mulled wine.

The event runs over two consecutive weekends from Friday, November 29, to Sunday, December 1, and then from December 6 to 8.

Doors open from 10am until 4pm on all six days, with free parking and a £2 entry fee per person.
