A Gunwalloe pub was flooded in last night's heavy rain.
Landlady Claire Murray was upstairs when a member of staff alerted her to the water cascading into the Halzephron Inn.
Describing her reaction at the time, she said: "It's sort of a panic, thinking 'how can you stop it coming in?' It's just a sense of 'I've got to clean all this up'."
At around 5.45pm water began to flood into the bar area through the walls. The team eventually found a hole in one of the walls where much of the water was getting in, but could not stem the tide.
"It got to the point where we couldn't do anything to stop it."
The Halzephron Inn this morning, more or less back to normal
Fire crews from Mullion responded and began pumping water out of the pub. The village's community rallied and local farmers got involved in the clean-up operation.
Miraculously, by around 7.30pm they had managed to pump out most of the water and there was minimal damage to the building.

Claire said: "Frankly I can't believe how clean it is, it's virtually back to normal."
She added: "We have been very lucky and got away with it."
Elsewhere, drivers reported heavily flooded roads.
Liam James Thomas Rabey was on the Helston-Porthleven road when he spotted a car up to its headlights in water.
He turned around to avoid the worst of the flood but his car still sustained some water damage.
At 12.30pm today, the road was clear.
