The chairman of Falmouth’s football club has sought advice about building a house next to its ground.

Pre-application planning advice has been sought for a new dwelling next to Falmouth Town AFC’s old entrance on Bickland Water Road.

Penryn-based LA Architecture said in a design statement that the new build would be either one or two storeys and fitted with energy efficient heating and lighting.

They went on to reference the fact that there has been a significant amount of development in the area recently, with the two new housing estates on Bickland Water Road.

The area that is being looked at for the new dwelling was intended to be used as additional parking space, but is currently unused as there is ample parking in the main car park, according to the architects.
