Registration has opened for next year's Castle to Castle Swim.

The well-attended event has proved hugely popular in the past and organisers are urging people to sign up sooner rather than later.

It is strictly limited to 450 swimmers and is open to anyone over the age of 14 who is at least an intermediate-level open water swimmer.

The one-mile swim traverses the Carrick Roads, starting at Pendennis Castle in Falmouth and finishing at St Mawes Castle on the Roseland Peninsula.

It will take place on Sunday May 31 2020 starting at 12.30pm.

Registration costs £25 and organisers ask everyone to aim to raise £50 for the RNLI through sponsorship.

An RNLI spokesperson said: "The swim is an absolutely fantastic event largely run by volunteers, without whom it wouldn’t be possible. It promises to be great fun with a fantastic atmosphere, so do come along and get involved.

"If swimming isn't your thing but you would still like to be involved, please get in touch as there are many volunteering opportunities available on the day."
