The NHS is inviting children in Cornwall to take part in an art competition marking the £99.9 million investment in a new unit at Royal Cornwall Hospital.
Budding artists are being asked to create posters to share their vision of the ideal hospital or healthcare centre of the future.
The winner will receive £500 in art supplies for their school and a trip to Westminster for a special day out.
Their work will also be put on display and every entrant will receive a certificate and a sticker to thank them for their efforts.
The Department of Health and Social Care and NHS England are organising the competition in order to mark the investment in a new Women's and Children's Unit at Royal Cornwall Hospital.
Kate Shields, chief executive of the Royal Cornwall Hospital NHS Trust, said: "“We’re really excited to have secured the funding for a new women’s and children’s unit. It’s a really important step forward for us to be able to build top-class facilities where we can provide brilliant care.
“The art project is just one way in which we are trying to help the whole community feel part of this exciting development and we’re really looking forward to seeing some brilliant and imaginative art.”
The competition will be supported by a range of school resources, helping children to learn about the history of the NHS and how medicine is changing.
It will run until 15 November, with regional winners and shortlisted pupils announced shortly after.
