Signs went up this week revealing that a new shop is due to open in Helston town centre – offering everything from pet food to foreign currency and hotel bookings.
Shop Locally is moving into the former cottage in Meneage Street that used to be the home of Indian restaurant Saffron.
Owner Rajon Ahmed told the Packet that it would be a convenience store selling groceries, drinks, sweets and tobacco, but no alcohol.
The new signs on the shop also indicate that it will sell pet food and mobile phone accessories.
A second business will also be making its home there. Web Nest will offer website and app design, printing, domain name hosting and online marketing.
At the same time, it also promises to give access to foreign currency, money transfers abroad and it will be even possible to book hotels and buy travel tickets through them.
Mr Ahmed said he hoped the shop would open to the public in just over a week, on Monday, October 28.
Shop Locally is a franchise managed nationally by cash and carry firm Booker.
