Helston Flora Day is to be shared on national TV with a whole new generation.

Visitors attending this year’s event back on May 8 might have seen a production team for children’s TV programme All Over The Place dashing around the town, recording footage of the dances.

Now an episode featuring the celebrations is to be broadcast on children’s channel CBBC, at 4.10pm on Wednesday, October 9.

The programme features presenter Ed Petrie and friends going on “a bizarre quest across the world to find some unusual, strange and amazing places” in each weekday episode.

The production team has sent a letter of thanks to the Helston Flora Day Association for allowing them to film at the event, saying: “The programmes look amazing so we really hope you can tune in.

“A massive thank you for all your help in making this such a fantastic tenth series.”

The first episode of the new series of All Over The Place will air this Monday, September 30 on CBBC, which can be found on Freeview and satellite channels, as well as BBC iPlayer. Flora Day is included in episode eight.
