Ever fancied walking on fire?
Now's your chance, as volunteers from Marie Curie are offering you the opportunity to take up the challenge in Falmouth.
Community fundraiser, Lynda Thomas, who will be taking part, said: “Fire walking is not about being in touch with one’s inner being or even mind over matter. The magic part is when you make that life-changing decision to walk on the fire and every £20 raised will help fund 1 hour of local Marie Curie nursing care and support for terminally ill patients and their families.”
Registration is now open on a first come first served basis - £25 covers the cost of registration and then get your friends and family to sponsor you.
All the funds raised will go directly to supporting the vital service offered by the 30 Marie Curie Nurses in the county – who care for patients in their home free of charge. Support from the Firewalk will help the nurses to care for even more terminally ill patients who wish to spend their last days in their own homes surrounded by their families and pets.
The event takes place on Friday, November 8 at the Princess Pavilion.
