A PENRYN man has been banned from driving.

Keith Allen, aged 62, of Tresooth Lane, failed to give information relating to the identification of a driver alleged to have committed an offence.

He originally denied the charge, before later changing his plea to guilty.

He was disqualified for six months and ordered to pay costs of £200. 

A TEENAGER drove while using a hand-held mobile phone.

Elise Corinne Laity, aged 19, of Sunny Corner, Portreath, originally denied the offence but later changed her plea to guilty.

She was driving a Volkswagen on February 5 in Pool when she used the phone.

She was fined £60 and ordered to pay costs of £350 and £30 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with six points.

DRIVING without insurance or a licence has resulted in a fine for a 36 year-old woman.

Jennifer Susan Ansell, of Tregundy Road, Perranzabuloe, committed the offences on June 4 in Chacewater.

BREAKING a 70mph speed limit has resulted in a heavy fine for a 46 year-old man.

Barnaby Thomas Carter, of The Pines, Allet, admitted committing the offence in a Land Rover on the A30 at Chiverton Cross, on June 12.

He also admitted failing to display the registration mark on the front and rear of the vehicle.

He was fined £769 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £76 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with five points.

Ion Chivu, of Roslyn Villa, Illogan Highway, admitted breaking a 70mph limit on the A30 at Roseworthy on March 18.
