TWO major highways projects in mid-Cornwall will be discussed at a meeting this week.

The A30 dualling between Chiverton Roundabout and Carland Cross will be on the agenda and there will also be a presentation on the proposed Saints Trails cycle routes from the Transport and Infrastructure Service.

Cllr Ken Yeo, the St Agnes and Perranporth Community Network Panel chairman said: “All local residents are invited to attend the meeting - it is your opportunity to meet your Cornwall Councillors and your Parish Council representatives.

"The meeting on Thursday is a good opportunity for you to find out what’s going on locally and how your representatives address matters that have been brought to their attention. As a panel we encourage input from the residents who attend the meeting.”

Residents of the parishes of Crantock, Cubert, Perranzabuloe, St Agnes, St Allen and St Newlyn East, are invited to attend the Community Network Panel on Thursday.

The panel will also begin considering Year 2 Highways schemes from the -parish councils in their network area.

The meeting will take place between 6.30pm and 8.30pm at Perranzabuloe Parish Rooms, Chyanhale, Ponsmere Valley, Perranporth.

The St Agnes and Perranporth Community Network Panel meets regularly to discuss matters that affect the local community and to agree priorities that can be delivered by Cornwall Council and other partner agencies.

Some of the topics to be discussed over the coming 12 months will include Future of Local Government in Cornwall, Climate Change Action and the provision of Adult Social Care.
