POLICE are keen to speak to a potential witness to an incident in which an elderly woman was seriously injured yesterday.
Officers were called to Moor Street, Camborne, at around 10am, following reports of a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian.
The casualty, an 80-year-old local woman, sustained a serious leg injury and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital, where she remains.
Officers from Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team, crime scene investigators as well as forensic collision and vehicle examiners attended the scene.
Investigating officers are appealing to speak to anyone with any relevant dashcam footage.
Police are also keen to speak to a potential witness to the incident, the driver of a small red car that was travelling along Moor Road at the time of the incident.
The road was closed for several hours while specialist examination took place. Police are grateful for the patience of the public whilst this took place
