A WOMAN has died following a crash on the A390 near Truro.

Police were called to a two-vehicle collision at the junction of the B3275 and the A390 near Probus at 10.28am on Tuesday.

A police spokesman said: "The driver and only occupant of one of the vehicles, a blue Volvo V70, was treated at the scene by Paramedics and Air Ambulance staff but was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

"The second vehicle, a silver Mercedes ML270 contained three persons all of whom sustained minor injuries."

Officers from the Roads Policing Team and Forensic Collision Investigators also attended and the road was closed for almost six hours whilst a specialist examination took place.
