A man who died at the scene of a motorcycle crash last month has been named.

Emergency services attended the incident at Allet, near Truro, where the rider, Andrew White, a 52-year-old local man, was declared deceased.

Andrew’s family have paid the following tribute: “Our Dad, Andrew John White, was tragically taken from us on 24th August 2019 whilst riding his beloved Scomadi scooter home. At only 52 years of age he had a lifetime ahead of him. He was a devoted dad, son, brother and friend. Everyone’s rock and mentor.

“Dad loved spending a lot of his time in the kitchen, out in the garden forever working on our family home, or enjoying the vast countryside with every man’s best friend, our fluffy bundle of joy, Kai.

"He cherished time with those he loved and was such a caring gentleman who would do absolutely anything for anyone. Words cannot explain the empty feeling left in our hearts.

“He adored his work and all of his colleagues at Acorn Housing where he recently stepped up as Project Manager. There is no doubt he will be missed by many and undoubtedly irreplaceable.

“We love you dad and will always cherish our precious memories with, and of you. Rest in peace, all our love, Julie, Jenna & Jodie.”

Police were called at around 7.10pm on Saturday, August 24, following reports of a single vehicle collision on the B3284.

It is believed that Andrew's black motorcycle was the only vehicle involved.

Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 873 of 24 August.
